I have been a licensed amateur radio operator for over 40 years and hold an Extra Class license. I was employed as a software engineer for 35 years and also a Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor. During my varied and sometimes chaotic Amateur career I have co-founded and Chaired the Minnesota Repeater Council, Chaired the Southern California Repeater Association and Chaired the ARRL VHF Repeater Advisory Committee. I am also one of the founders of the Carson Valley Radio Club. I was the ARRL Nevada Section Manager for five years and was awarded the ARRL Excellence in Recruiting Award. I am fortunate and proud to be married to Melissa Flanagan KK7AA. We are both ARRL Life Members and live with a dozen computers, a pair of Maine Coons and an Australian Shepherd in the high desert of Western Nevada. (Ex-W6OLD) |
